Supported Accommodation
Our high-quality, supported accommodation empowers individuals to live independently with tailored support.
Welcome to Century Lodge!
Our supported accommodation service includes a range of tailored interventions aimed at meeting the specific needs of each child or young person. Our services offered include:
Ensure round-the-clock care and supervision by trained professionals who are dedicated to the well-being of our residents ensuring that care leavers feel safe and supported at all times.
Each child has a bespoke care plan, developed and implemented to address their physical, emotional, educational, social needs and goals individually. These plans are regularly reviewed and updated in collaboration with the child, their family (where appropriate), and relevant professionals to reflect their progress and changing needs.
We work closely with schools, colleges, and training providers to ensure that care leavers have access to appropriate educational opportunities. For those who are disengaged from formal education, we offer alternative learning pathways including tutoring, homework assistance, and advocacy.
Through partnerships with local healthcare providers, we ensure access to mental health services such as counselling and therapy, if required. Our staff are trained in supporting care leavers with emotional and behavioural difficulties.
We provide practical training and guidance in essential life skills such as cooking, budgeting, personal hygiene, time management and maintaining a home to prepare care leavers for independent living.
Promote physical and mental health through regular medical check-ups, counselling services, fitness activities, and healthy meal planning.
Organize a variety of recreational activities, including sports, arts and crafts, and outings, to ensure a well-rounded experience.
Facilitate regular family visits and involvement and encourage community engagement to build a supportive network around each child.
We focus on helping young people transition from supported living to independent adulthood, ensuring they have access to housing, employment, or continued education upon leaving our care
We aim to empower young people by helping them develop essential life skills such as budgeting, managing a household, and personal responsibility. Our focus is to equip them with the tools and confidence to live independently, whether it involves daily routines or managing personal finances. This will ensure they are well-prepared to handle adult life responsibly, fostering a sense of self-reliance and independence.
We work closely with young people to encourage informed decision-making by providing them with the information and guidance they need to understand the consequences of their choices. By promoting autonomy and control over their lives, we empower them to take ownership of their decisions, ensuring they feel supported while developing critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. This approach promotes personal growth and self-confidence.
We instil a sense of responsibility in young people by encouraging them to take part in household chores and follow daily routines. This helps them understand the importance of contributing to a shared living environment and develops discipline and organizational skills. Additionally, promoting teamwork through communal activities fosters collaboration, communication, and mutual respect, which are vital skills for personal and professional success
Our high-quality, supported accommodation empowers individuals to live independently with tailored support.
We support young people in developing the confidence needed to actively engage with their local community. By encouraging participation in community events, sports, volunteering, and other local activities, we help them build a sense of belonging and self-worth. Engagement in social activities fosters their integration into the broader society, helping them develop social networks and interpersonal skills that are crucial for their long-term well-being.
Our approach prioritizes the emotional well-being of young people by helping them build self-esteem and confidence in social interactions. We provide opportunities for them to develop friendships and form meaningful connections with peers. By focusing on self-acceptance and confidence, we encourage them to create strong bonds and companionship, which are important for their emotional resilience and overall mental health.
We strive to create a welcoming, nurturing, and supportive environment within the home, where young people feel safe, comfortable, and valued. A homely atmosphere is essential for emotional security, helping young people to relax and express themselves freely.
We maintain an atmosphere of support that encourages young people to pursue a full, engaging, and independent lifestyle. We provide guidance without imposing unnecessary rules, focusing instead on positive reinforcement.
